Professor Liu Xiangdong graduated from Beijing Institute of Technology in 1990, and received his Ph.D. degree in Natural Science from RWTH Aachen University, Germany in 2004. During 2004-2006, he worked as a JSPS Postdoctoral Researcher in the Institute of Solid Physics, University of Tokyo. He is a professor in the School of Physics, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, China at present. In past years he has carried out a series of research programs granted by MOST and NSFC, and the amount of funding obtained is more than 10 Million RMB. Prof. Liu also actively cooperates with the researchers around the world. His current research interests focus on developing instruments for precision gravity measurements.
