Dr.Wu received his M.S. degree and Ph.D. degree in Shanghai Observatory, Chinese Academy Sciences, in 2007. From April to June of 2007, he visited Yukawa institute in Kyoto University. Then he moved to the International Center of Astrophysics in Korean Astronomy and Space Science Institute as a postdoc researcher. He is presently a Professor in the School of physics, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, China. In the past few years he has started a series of research programs including NSFC. His interests include the high-energy phenomena near the black holes in astrophysical objects (e.g., active galactic nuclei, AGN, Ultra-Luminous Sources, ULXs, X-ray binaries, XRBs, Gamma-ray Bursts, GRBs, etc.), plasma physics, accretion and jet physics. Dr. Wu also actively cooperates with the researchers around the world.
